There was no point in persuing generic paclataxel because the market has been flooded by cheap chinese supply. This was a prudent move by the company. On another front though there seems to be a lot of evidence that Xechem is actively engaged in NIPRD's project to produce domestic artemsia based anti-malarials. Without the plant extraction processes developed by Xechem and instituted by NIPRD they wouldn't be as far along as they are.
