It's okay to want information, and far from ridiculous. As well, an email on Friday would have been proper professional courtesy.

I can tell you something is ridiculous: scheduling a meeting for last Thursday, cancelling and rescheduling for Monday, cancelling and rescheduling for Wedneday, cancelling and rescheduling for Thursday, cancelling and rescheduling for Friday and then cacelling because of the weather.

If didn't actually happen I wouldn't believe it myself!
