Granted no slam dunk... but Im gonna take the other side. First if I remember correctly the author's point about the effectiveness of AT3 in an extravascular setting..ie the lymph node, was just a conjecture. He figured Xigris would be more effective because it is smaller size molecule and it could get out of the blood vessels easier. I am very uncomfortable with that kind of thinking. (not saying I know he's wrong). I just do not see the body throwing up barriers against key regulators in critical situations like bleeding or infection. It would be like a city having no entry areas for the police or firetrucks. Its much more likely if thrombin can access the area so can antithrombin, if this were not true anywhere in the body it would represent a severe risk.

As we discussed earlier the clinical paper referring to AT3 may have been AT3 in combo with heparin which we know is not very effective.

I liked your earlier suggestion of LEO giving the guy some money to try Atryn on the mice.
