Hi Dew,

No, hadn't forgotten that paper -- and with all due respect to J Thromb Haemost. and that paper's authors, theirs was a very limited proposition giving us some limited reason to hope.

In contrast, the Nature PAR1 paper is 1) broad-reaching, 2) impeccably conducted and robust, and 3) gives the most obvious effect of antithrombin (the blockade of thrombin) a central and pivotal role in unlinking sepsis and DIC.

The Nature paper is HUGE :)
