I don't agree...it's not the infrastructure that's preventing Hydrogen from being main stream....it's the cost of production and the cost of fuel cell cars. Distribution would be a challenge....but would pale in comparison to the challenge of economical production.
By the way.....last time I checked...gasoline was delivered by truck to gas stations...not pipeline.
Also....in CA....we already have a series of hydrogen fuel cell centers all over the state....we have hydrogen powered bus's and Honda and GM are testing fuel cell cars here.
The cars are nearly ready.....distibution is not difficult.....it's the cost of fuel cell cars and the cost of producing hydrogen that's going to hold fuel cell cars back.
Yes....bio-fuels can use some existing infrasructure...mostly gas stations and trucks.....but the real reason bio-fuels are going to be successful is there is nothing better at this time and for the foreseeable future. ... It's just as simple as that.
