extelecom -- that particular Wikipedia article is a mess, as is openly acknowledged on that page -- 'formed in 1934'? -- nope -- they were actively recruiting Butler in 1933 -- 'by conservative Democrats'? -- who tried to brand FDR a fascist and supported Republicans in 1936? -- the key is the wealthy corporate interests who organized and funded it -- hardly 'Democrats', conservative or otherwise
