Thanks, Ricardo. This joint is almost like home to me, except that it has more space and isn't drafty in the winter.
It occurred to me as I read your post that it doesn't have to be all or nothing for me. Perhaps I ought to make an offer on a number of shares that's more suitable for a man of my station.
I've never used the purchasing tactic you recommend although it nothing too exotic. Have you--or perhaps someone else here--have an idea of an offer that would be meaningfully lower than today's close but not ludicrous?
