as far as having IR check your work, as long as it's legal for him to do so, why not? sure, we like steve to write PRs all day long, and he just might be, but with this issue you've taken the ball down the field to the ten yard line. let's have steve haag dive into the end zone and spike the ball.
as long as the stock always went up no one really cared, but for a few months now the share structure has been a murky, misunderstood issue for quite a few shareholders. a collective lack of knowledge about it has been a field day for the bears, who prey on a lot of misinformation.
AND... imo it has wasted a lot of steve haag's time to work individually with underinformed shareholders, and walk them each through the info in filings, etc., not to mention answering countless emails on the issue. i'll bet you steve would welcome the idea of using your excel file as a way of educating everyone, or maybe it can act as a model for a similar file created by IR and signed off on by management.
in terms of boosting shareholder morale, your road map to the share structure is fantastic. untangling it, simplifying it, and getting the information out on this board will make it possible for us all to move this stock higher, and do it with authority. jmho.
