However, if such a major production change were forced so suddenly then they would be obligated to make a press release that all shareholders can see. Selective release of such information would be illegal, if it was selectively released to some shareholders rather than others it would be insider trading.
I think that, in the quiet period, an absence of statements by AMD means that imaginations run wild.
