my assumption is that this part of the quote ("This ability allows prospective customers to preserve their capital investment in existing winches.") refers to winches not sold by dpdw. but i also noted that it does get them in the door with those companies who would hopefully by the proteus when the "existing winch" has reached its lifespan.

btw, do you konw the life span of the proteus and its competitors?
