Hi Alea, everything that I've read indicates that the upcoming Eaglelake Q45 and Q43 chipsets will be directed toward business users. I dont see it reaching the consumer, at least for a while.
Like the previous chipsets, e.g. 35, 965, there will be 3 chip flavors, P,G, and Q, with the Q-series supporting the Executive or business platform that will support- AMT, VT, TXT, 1.2, DANBURY.
Up till now Wave's largest opportunities have been with notebooks using FDE and secure wireless apps. Eaglelake Q-series will add desktop applications to the mix, which adds another platform of opportunities.
I wonder if Danbury's release in the Q2 timeframe will put pressure on Seagate to release the desktop 3.5" FDE drive. More is better!
