Not a "survey", rather my observations. A "survey" by actually stopping into some stores is a great idea since they can tell us what is really going on with their inventories and which carriers / phones are hot sellers.

As for "Sharp Vodafone sales and NEC 3G sales in Japan and ASIA/Europe for the First Quarter 2004", all I have to go on are the CC comments (which presumeably reflect all areas including the ones you mentioned specifically), and these comments plus my local observations suggest to me that "unless the NEC revenue catchup and some other one-time revenues can offset the cost increases and seasonal revenue shortfall, it looks like the 1Q could be ugly from an earnings perspective".
