I'm about to buy a new computer and realize that though the boxed ones generally come with VISTA, running XP is an option. Anyone know if future versions of Windows will be architectured along the lines of VISTA and support for XP impossible to maintain? I have used XP and its ancestors for so long and become very competent using them and satisfied that I don't need additional bells and whistles that I'd much prefer to keep using what works for me. However, if XP will not continue to be supported or if new apps will have requirements of VISTA vice XP that's another story, might as well get on with becoming used to it. Thanks in advance.
