Plugger,
I'm so glad all is better. This MERSA is becoming a big problem all over the world. It stands for Methicillin resistant staphlococcus aureous. Basically it is a staph infection that is resistant to antibiotics. Staph Aureous was the first recognized staph bacteria. (The golden killer) was it's nick name because of the golden color of the drainage from the wounds.
MERSA is now being found on public toilet seats. Our County sent the board of health to swab public toilets seats and 8 out of 10 had MERSA.
Good Hand washing is a must. Use sanitary wipes before touching shopping carts, etc. Also, do not sit on public toilet seats without using the sanitary paper.
Sorry, once a nurse, always a nurse.
Everything I post is just my humble opinion. Do your own DD.
