Regarding mnta's board, fwiw. I've attended a couple of their annual meetings. For their first annual meeting a shareholder loudly complained because only a couple among the prestigious group of board members chose to attend. He actually walked out, elderly guy in a walker, took about 5 minutes to wait for him to leave. People laughed but the whole board showed up the next year. That year I sat next to a board member who played on his blackberry the whole time entirely disengaged. He was one of the independent board members. That year as well the ceo (at the time) did his presentation but declined to take questions from shareholders. I've been to a bunch of annual meetings and had never seen that before. I think there was quite a bit of hubris going on at the time that's probably been wrung out.
