the point isnt how sat rad does not compete with t-rad...the point is it does..with the potential to dominate them..particularly if the merger is approved..

You just officially supported the pro-merger view! The fact that it does compete with t-rad is justification enough! Now what you failed to mention is that t-rad is FREE. satrad is not a commodity people need to live like oil or food and thus does not fall into the category of what the Sherman Act was written for anyway. You have to choose to pay for it like cable TV. To approve a merger you need to show competition exists in the relevant markets.. as you pointed it out.. it does. The fact that satrad has the potential to dominate does not give t-rad special protection in a free market economy. They either up their game (HD radio and the like) or the party is over for them. That's the way capitalism works...

Not show them the way per se, but they will definitely wait for the DOJ to announce first. Like I said, this isn't really even a topic to debate really, it's pretty much widely accepted that the DOJ decision is coming first. But we'll see
