Job Responsibilities
* Develop estimates from conceptual, detailed design and construction stages on large scale Coal Refining Process Plants. These estimates may be for new facilities or modifications to existing facilities and may also include turnaround work. They will reflect the total project cost, including owner costs. Estimates will be based on scope definition, execution strategy and current or future market conditions. * Assist engineering and project controls in establishing budgets for future projects. * Work with engineering and procurement to obtain and evaluate equipment quotes. * Develop estimates for project construction costs from civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation design packages. * Evaluate contract labor rates, availability, and productivity on construction estimates. * Prepare construction material and labor cost estimates. * Evaluate contingency and escalation factors and estimates.
Requirements:
* BS or equivalent and 5 years eperience in engineering or construction industry. * Able to interpret engineering drawings and definition to complete multi discipline FEL 1-3 estimates. * Experience with estimating in chemical processing plants in an industrial environment required. * Excellent written, oral presentation skills required. * Team work and effective communication skills and attention to detail required.
