xdx. another thought.

Samsung isn't licensed for CDMA (IS-95), suggesting only TDMA (GSM) revs are involved in the concurrent NOK arb (NOK is licensed). CDMA mobile phone production from Korea's Samsung (and LG Electronics and others) are significant (over and above amts disclosed by Interdigital after S/E Ericy). Both will at some point need a 3G license for standards each produces to, but appears they will FIRST have to ante up for CDMA 2-G - but the end result should be all-inclusive, i.e. not piecemeal as LearningVest indicated.

Appears Ericy S/E settlement was the benchmark for other GSM OEM's, I beleve the ongoing arb with NOK with regard to 2G CDMA (Possibly not triggered by S/E ERicy - since it was GSM based) is holding up the "non-piecemeal" licensing endeavors sector wide. Comments?
