The big picture is the sum of many parts- comprising the world of wireless. So often we get caught in the details- such as the role of Lucent - that the big picture gets muddled in the shuffle. Anyone who states "they don't understand it" - certaintly aren't alone.
As the investment community gains a better grasp of the central role Interdigital is playing in worldwide communications, the stock price will reflect accordingly. Q is an example of what happens when the investment community catches on- and we've got momentum.
