"What do people think if Clemens is in the Mitchell Report?"
I think it will be fun to see how Clemens' p.r. people and agents and corporate sponsors all scramble around to do damage control. Will they choose to call the integrity of the Report into question? Will they attack the Report as untrue or mistaken? Will they by implication attack Mitchell? Will they play the "Red Sox conspiracy" card? Will they smear McNamee?
Will they admit it, but claim it was for a very limited period of time, and only to aid healing and recovery from injury? Will they claim it was off-season only?
It'll be equally fun to see how the Yankees organization reacts. How the Houston Astros react. Especially if Tejada gets fingered too.
As for the fans, the ones with any sophistication on the topic of doping, know that Clemens was always highly suspect. Filed under the heading of "if it seems too good to be true, often it is", comes the idea of a 40 and 41 year old Clemens putting up those otherworldly numbers. We all wanted it to be "real," but somewhere deep down, the realists among us knew there was a chance, perhaps even a likelihood it wasn't.
