I'll try not to speculate too deep as I have not seen the system. But I can say that, from an engineering point of view, I cannot see how the Universal Control Board patent could protect the system as a whole. The UCB technology is aging. I think the "system process" needs to be evaluated for protection. I'm sure that Ferris has looked into this, but we shareholders are not "in the know" about what decisions were made about this issue. Maybe its a good topic to bring up at the upcoming show, seeing as the system will be looked-over by every "idea-stealing" engineer in the business.

The info that rouster49 posted has shed some light on the "probability" of success of our investment. Like rouster49 said:
"I also personally feel however, that the 14 month headstart could dry up this year if they don't deliver something within those next two (three at the latest) quarters."
I'm not as optimistic due to the speed at which larger companies can pump out technology, especially if they are already in the business. There is probably an Asian company copying the technology as we speak. I give it 6 months or less regarding the timeframe for VTSI to get a piece of the larger pie.
