This was true when you had the procedure (2000), but it’s not true today because LASIK technology has improved greatly since then. The halo and night-vision problems often seen with the first-generation lasers are now rare—provided, of course, that the procedure is performed by a competent doc using contemporary equipment.
The biggest improvement in LASIK has been the advent of wavefront technology that measures higher-order refraction errors and goes beyond the crude “number 1 or number 2” decision tree used in a routine eye exam.
