Actually, I'd recommend AGAINST changing the name of the company. Everybody in the area is alert to the fact that a turnaround may be happening.

Here's to make life easier and less expensive immediately.

1) Pay all vendors as soon as they present a bill (take the five minutes it takes to go to the bank) give them payment in certified funds. The fact that this is happening will be widely known in 24 hours. Do this for a month. You should be able to negotiate some serious discounts in this way.

2) For the second month offer to write a check immediately upon presentation of an invoice.

After that you should be good to go but will still be able to get substantial discounts for prompt payment.

I met with a few <ahem> locals this evening and all of them agree that the will help where they can, they are glad to see changes afoot, and if the way business is done is changed they will be glad to assist.

If you want to spend 300 bucks and earn 300K in goodwill host a lunch at the Oil City Museum (Outlaw BBQ will cater for that amount for 25 people) and explain the changes taking place.

All best,

LO
