It is for disgustingly overpaid people like this that our jobs are being shipped to asia. I have finally crossed over to the camp that believes that the top management's total compensation should be no more than 10 times the average of the rest of the company's compensation. This guy is not rare. Left my last company because of packages like this, but I worked for a company which posted an operating loss most years/quarters while borrowing money to pay a dividend every quarter. The executives sucked but were paid like arabian princes.

It is absolutely disgraceful. Makes me sick to be an American.

in edit, and if these CEO's don't like it, let them go anywhere else in the world and find another job - no way they'd make even 10x what their average employee makes. Maybe in Germany, just maybe, but nowhere else. Let the buggers live in china.
