That's for sure! If it wasn't for this board, we might not be privy to much of anything.

But looking at the pie charts in Data's link brings to mind a situation that Loop has mentioned many times in the past: It may not be enough to have licensed the few players in 3G that we have, as significant as NEC, Sharp, et al are; IDCC needs to have it's essential ipr in 3G validated by a standards body or a third party that finally steps up and says to the world what most of us here believe, and the company has stated, that...

"A, B, and C are essential to building to the standard and they are covered and described by valid patents and these valid patents are properly held and available for licensing by Interdigital Technology Corporation of K of P, PA, USA."

I can't help but believe that IDCC's 3G licensing success would be much further along if the word Interdigital had a line pointing to a little slice in that pie chart, hopefully a 4-5% slice but even a 1% slice would sure make me feel better.
