Equally important is how one "handles" one's responses to one's output as well.
Especially if you know going in that your opinion is going to be an unpopular one. To post an unpopular opinion and expect sweetness in return is naive at best. Follow up a reasoned unpopular post with a tit for tat attack undermines your own credibility and weakens the value of your original post.

I know that you don't react this way Bob. But your post made it convenient to bring this point up.
