Nando, meanmikeca, in the 10K...

You know, the official filing, it said it would get an "overhaul"! It didn't say "maybe", it didn't say it "might", it said, "shipped the Sanswire 2A Technology Demonstrator airship to TAO in Stuttgart, Germany for evaluation and overhaul.

The term "overhaul" is commonly used when the repairs, changes etc... are extensive and major. I don't think I've ever heard the term used when only minor repairs were needed. The term "overhaul" is also commonly used when a vehicle is wearing out due to use, and needs to be rebuilt. That sure isn't the case here! The Sanswire 2A "Technology Demonstrator" is being "overhauled" BECAUSE IT DOESN'T WORK!!!

After all these years, after all the teams, after all the hopes, after all the press releases, AFTER TELLING US THEY WOULD BE SELLING THE FINISHED PRODUCT IN 2007 the "demonstrator" still doesn't work?

Has everyone noticed how they are very careful to "still" call, what doesn't work, a "Technology Demonstrator"? This isn't even a "real", Stratellite as we were told. It's only an early prototype, just to "demonstrate" and not actually suitable for the "real" purpose of their ultimate goals. And they can't even make that work!

So now they have shipped the parts, of a failed project, to another company that also has never been able to do what they are trying to do. Of course there is no "real" contract yet, to try and do anything, just another LOI, and we know the company's record with them. It doesn't really matter though as it looks like TAO is just as inept in "real" HAA deployment as Sanswire/GlobeTel!
