After reading your post, that makes a *LOT* of sense. Not only that, but it would be really cool.
If Mac would offer their OS For Intel compatible equipment, I'd switch over tomorrow. As would a whole lot of other people who don't trust Microsoft -- but hate being limited to software/hardware choices.
Any OS can run Unix-based code. The MAC OS X, being just a 'flavor', should technically run on top of any hardware, just as KDE does.
Interesting. I wonder if anybody else has brushed on this topic.
