It is my opinion that SpoozToolz does not make use of any outside server. It IS an Excel add-in (see the link), which I realize doesn't mean anything to support my previous assertion about the server.

Go ahead and inquire from the management about the high-level architecture if you feel it necessary. I would guess that they will decline to comment on the grounds that it is proprietary. The first version of SpoozToolz likely suffered from the issues you described.

There are, as you have previously pointed out, techniques for dealing with this. I am very aware of these methods, but there are ways to get around the common problems experienced with add-ins without needing to run outside of the Excel process.

I don't make any claims that there is anything wrong with operating as an Excel add-in, just that it IS how SpoozToolz operates.

In addition, any claims made by the company of 4x faster than TT are pretty much worthless in my book. Faster than what module of TT? Using what benchmarks? Did someone from TT provide numbers? Also, is this not an admission that TT is a DIRECT competitor? Otherwise, why even mention it? I also think Paul's description of TT "signing-up" with Spooz is a misrepresentation of the situation that occurred. Again, I would say that we formalize this question regarding the structure of their relationship in the weekly email to Paul.
