"How many times did your employer actually know you were resigning before you did such?"

Any employee worth his weight would give notice of plans to resign, well in advance of such a date.
To do otherwise, with the exception of a sudden tragedy, indicates a complete lack of consideration for his employer, and would be lacking a sense of ethics, imo.

We're talking about the president here. Two days later, he's gone, and nobody knew?!

At the very least, Mr Bleckman has shown, again, how out of touch he is with his company, in my opinion.
