Torre was only receiving a 1 year commitment from the yanks, that means he is constantly looking over his shoulder, why take that when you can get 3 years from the dodgers, because a 3 year deal tells me they believe in you a 1 year deal tells me your looking over your shoulder, and could even be a little determental to the team. I personally agree with you a ton on Torre he was only receiving a 1 year commitment when I hear managers receive one year commitments, I think they are likely to be lame duck managers, and nobody with any pride signs on for that. Especially when they can get a 3 year commitment from somewhere else. Just my opinion.
