Per J. Nelson, MASG has no further relationship with Subway.
There may be some self-interested third party funding them, though. If you just ignore Subway, you're probably better off.
Pennies can be fun, once you learn how to deal with them. Getting in MASG at this point is certainly no big gamble.
O/T: Take a look at WTAI and UIBI. Good technology in each case, both on the mend, the former has cleaned house, and the latter has always had a good crew.
