IMO:You are clueless .. 19,872 Companies that entered Phase 3 FDA approval were purchased at several hundred times their market value..Such is the case in an IP situation such as InterDigital, where the Company has licensed 35% of a market,estimated to grow at a compounded 20% plus rate for the next 7 years..and it's stock is currently selling at 20X earnings, and they will license the remaining 65% holdouts...

A premium of around 100% would be difficult for QCOM to justify to its shareholders unless they enter into a bidding war with Nokia.

I am not aware of any firm which was acuired at 100% premium recently. maybe you can help me with some instances.
