I don't think that matters much to me. All i worry about is can I switch the drives and be up and running?

Another thought on the Ghost copy. Casper does not make a new, exact, copy every time. Only the original copy is exact. After that the program only copies incremental changes. That would explain the fragmentation and, possibly even, the larger size.
