I was beginning to wonder where I had landed!

You evidently know what you are dealing with, but it looks to me like an unholy alliance of willing volunteers all trying to talk up a nothing into a something in order to slice a profit off.

Unfortunately people this side of the Atlantic get hurt through the activities of the boiler room outfits who ride along on the back of all this. They are like touts bothering you to buy. Then when they have got you into the scam there's no way out because you can't trace them and you don't understand the market.
