Bob, Good quote! The old bull still has a lot of fight left and gold could certainly see lows I never expected to see again. Several months ago a friend loaned me a book " The Coming Conflict With China " written by two well respected journalists/Asiaphiles. A very good read and certainly educated me on some very sobering possibilities over the next ten to fifteen years. I read with some amusement, pronouncements from respected stock analysts [ who have never experienced a devastating bear market ] Gold is Dead and The Dow is going to rocket past 10,000, 12,000 or 15,000. I usually apply Murphy's law to such a situation, if anything can go wrong, it will. The present market valuations and associated mania represent the reference standard for Greater Fool Theory in action. I have lost all confidence in western governments and their repective paper money and am attempting to invest in real things, precious and strategic metals, quality gem stones, food, potable water and definately oil and gas.
