That same poster on Wi-fi planet also posted this. I don't know if they are talking about the JV but who else is building a wireless network in Pachuca?

The question was "How many wifi clients will max out your router?"

His answer:

"I had a similar issue here in Pachuca Mexico. We have a wireless network and on one AP has over 30 Simultaneous connections within a small 100m area.

There are several factors that can affect the number of users per AP. The most important issue I found is Link Quality. If you have everyone node connecting with signal strength better than -59dbi than you can add a hundreds of nodes… However in the real world you have some connections at -85 others at -75 and some very good connections at -50….

I found that 30-40 wifi customers are fine in a outdoor model and in a indoor office model 100+ is Ok. I would never suggest going 200+…"
