Good Afternoon,

I'm "shifting gears" here this afternoon as my son just came back from Bristol Tenn., and the SHARPIE "500". And this is NASCAR we're talking about now:)
I had always thought that the next best Licensing Deal for EI would be HD(Harley Davidson) because of the "personal touch", with owning and driving, and all of that stuff. NASCAR was going to come next. I'm not so sure now:) I told my son to bring me home a t-shirt which I wore today. I just took it off, and wrote down some of the Sponsors that arrayed both the front and back of the shirt. I also wore it to work today, and the first guy that came up to me was wearing "sun glasses", not to get Blinded by the colors!! You can imagine what this thing looks like. So its got USG,BUD, COMMIF, GILETTE, GOOD YEAR, GATORBACK, MOOG CHASSIS PARTS, CLEVITE, COMP CAMS, EDELBROCK, SUNOCO, RAYBESTOS, and WIX FILTERS just to name a few!! 160,000 fanatical spectators watching these NASCAR guys go around the half mile track:) You talk about $$, and Sponsorships, and Licensing Agreements!!!! I don't know if Harley can compete??
It doesn't really matter to me where EI get's its next Big Deal. I have Faith in their decisions regarding Licensing, because I know it isn't that easy. So, give me European Soccer, the NFL, NASCAR, or Harley Davidson and I will be "happy". And even if it "isn't" one of these Heavy Hitters, But, a "new" one that is creative and has the potential for some good numbers, I'll take that too:)
The Big Money folks is all about the Licensing Agreements and the Sponsorships, and in our Lifetimes this will not go away, and I don't see people Not Dying anytime soon. It's going to take a while, but boy, I want to be around to enjoy the Ride:)
I still can't believe it- Sparky Anderson doing a "photo op" at a Funerary Convention at Our Booth!! Unheard of:)
