AMZN lovely! The bulls are hibernating! (Do bulls hibernate? well the bears are sure frolicking today)

We have a nice bunch of straddles now for tomorrow and that will finish possibly the best 2 weeks of earnings plays in years. The corker was INSP even more upside than SLAB (in actual gross gains). SNDK last minute buy of the puts was probably the biggest surprise (trying to see how we can save those last 70 calls for February, we decided to 'go for broke' and we did 'break the bank' on the SNDK puts) INSP was not even a straddle just call options..and ELX and BRCM nice bonus. Many folks were bullish BRCM generally, but how many actually utilized the 'hold through earnings' marketgems strategy for that gain? All those tooting their horns on AMZN are gone now as AMZN was one heck of a gap 'n crap play that we also emailed our subscribers in plenty of time to get all that downside even yesterday (adding SINA short for extra measure)

EMAILED YESTERDAY at 12:18 p.m EST:

AMZN the biggie. You might get an EBAY or a NVLS here folks. February 60 calls are getting cheaper by the minute (I would wait even they are about 1.30 no rush to pick them up now. The February 55 PUTS ZQNNK are $2.10 and getting more expensive. I like the fact that even if AMZN beats I doubt it will last and could be down in the upcoming days. Some very savvy traders are even popping thoe Februry 50's ZQNNJ for a mere $0.60 hoping that AMZN hits 53 or so by options expiration. (THIS Last position of course for the experienced trader who will be shorting AMZN along with the puts)

All (every single one) of our earnings plays are available for your edification and perusal on our messageboard, intraday updates (these are emailed up to 10 a day) and the trading room log.
