The article I posted was in reference to universities. There is a big difference. Even here in the States, the universities stack up poorly when compared to technical schools. Check out the magnificent tuition increases in our uni's year after year.
The point that can be taken from what is going on in China is that we are seeing a slow transformation of an economy that if it continues to progress (and doesn't poison the world first, lol) is going to eventually dwarf that of most of the other economies in the world.
For my part, I am just happy to have accumulated some shares of a company that still has a chance to hook a ride on the train that is still slowly moving away from the station.
If I didn't believe there was hope, I would quietly sell my shares and go quietly in the night. It is either a perverse character or an endless bottle of Jim Beam that keeps anyone motivated to be a naysayer just for the heck of it.
