The conformal coating that Novocell is using in its current clinical trial is Surmodics. I don't know why Novocell talks as if it were their technology. The name of the coating technology, according to Surmodics, is "CELLabration". For further info, see http://www.surmodics.com/pdf/cellabration.pdf

Surmodics is currently seeking additional collaborations for the CELLabration technology. From the link above: "SurModics Regenerative Technologies seeks to partner with visionary medical device and biotechnology companies to commercialize this paradigm-changing technology for the delivery of treatments/therapies as yet not possible."
