Yanks play Kansas City ten times in second half ?????

Sounds like ole Bud Selig threw a bone to Yanks on this one. I dont know if the AL East alternates with 10 games against a particular AL Central team each year but the Rays,O's,Sox and Jays play the hapless Royals 6 times this year..spaced out over the season and the Yanks get to play them TEN times out of the remaining 77 games. Thank you Bud.

Also, the entire AL East closes out against another AL East team in Sept..Yanks play perpetual whipping post O's and Devil Rays but the Sox strangely play lasy seven games against the A's and the Twins. Thank You Bud.

The Yanks entire season no doubt will hinge on a stretch in August whn the play the Tigers home on Aug 16,17,18,19...At Anaheim Angels August 20,21,22, at Detroit ..24,25,26,27 and home for Boston, 28,29,30.

Fourteen games against real teams and they cannot afford to play .500 or below in that stretch as they are now 42-43 with conventional wisdom placing the playoff total of 95 wins to get into the tournament. They need to finish 53-24 to reach 95 wins. 24 losses sures doesnt leave much wiggle room. Should be interesting...after all...even us that loathe the Evil Empire get no satisfaction rooting against the Yanks if they are going to woefully underperform..its no fun.
