Hi Mira. No I haven't, but Walt did coming back for CA to here, about 7 years ago, on I-5, a early winter blast in October. He made it to Ashland, OR, the north side of the Siskiyou Pass, pass is 4,310 feet, in his little Isuzu dieseled powered pickup.
Got a motel room there and come the next moring, it was bright and sunny...LOL...

U B "itching" again, now that's funny! GL and break their bank!
We haven't made a Reno run yet this year. So probably made one in late October and pickup his bro Howard...aka... Jose in Psradise, CA. Then take the Feather River Hwy #70 and then #395 south to Reno. The Feather River Hwy is a VERY beautiful drive in the fall.
