what i learned about the SHM:
of course, this is from a source and not directly, so anything i say must be taken as COMPLETE HERESAY, BUT here goes . . .
1) Our process for cell-free DNA is different from VICAL'S, and the scientists at CYGX think ours is much better, and that VICAL coming in the cell-free market is both good (validates we're on the right track) and bad (competition).
2) When protected with our syndna vaccine, 13 of 15 mice survived avian flu. all the control group died.
3) Dr Weiner (top guy at dna vaccine conference in spain) has agreed to be on our sci adv board and are waiting for U of PENN to give permission
4) we will need 15-20 MILLION over the next few years - where we get it was NOT specified, but they stressed using the least dilutive option for shareholders.
5) CYGX will be at 3 upcoming conferences. One next week and two in September
6) The recent patent opinion (that i posted earlier this week) is no big deal - very common - cygx not worried
7) good experienced ceo candidate has been found, and will be offered a job within the month - if accepted sept, 2007 will be approx start time
8) this was MS's last SHM as CEO, but will remain with the co. on the board
9) new facility is waiting for permits from the city and then groundbreaking will occur. one year is approx building time. shareholders were shown a more specific drawing of the new facility.
10) some shareholders at the meeting were obviously upset at the shareprice and showed the dissatisfaction with both the SP and MS.
there were other things but my sauce (read: source) didn't want me posting them here.
i have to repect her wishes.
overall, my sauce is content. She is holding long and strong and your sauce is too!
