johnny, It is you who needs to get out of the way.

It has already been shown that ANY sufficiently high density SNP assay, together with public domain statistical analysis formulas, (specifically the Markov–hidden Markov model (MHMM))makes it possible to perform admixture mapping without genotyping special ancestry-informative–marker panels.

This procedure means that ancestry-informative-marker (AIM) based technology is ONLY one of many methods for accomplishing the same tasks.

You can trot out all of the AIM patents you want, but they don't buy you anything. The industry knows their value and they know exactly how to get around them (if they ever wanted to.) Hint, the pps is trying to tell you the actual value of the science, all you have to do is pay attention.
