ezmoney....please read my reply to king (44387)....and, let me try to make an analogy for you.....if the police deparment in your town has a rule that officers must have "short hair cuts" and one officer says that he will not comply, when the case goes to court, the judge will look for the statute which cites the requirement for "short hair".....if there is none on the books, the officer WINS.....he can have long hair.....regardless of the police departments rules...
and, so it is with the SEC......they have no jurisdiction over Pinkies......there is no body of law which specifies penalties for SEC rule violations....
but, because of the terrible climate surrounding the stock markets an effort is being made to bolster the image of the SEC.....but, the actual charges come from laws which are already in place and involvement of the SEC is almost superfluous....
