Can anyone offer a meaningful opinion as to what the tradeoffs are? For example, if you sign it then XXXXXX will probably happen, if not then YYYYYY will probably happen.

It's obvious it's not mandatory, but in situations such as this, something that is *not* manadatory sometimes causes more confusion as to what is best than something that is.

Everthing I state is my own opinion (IMO). Do not make any trading decisions based on anything I state.
