ajtj, wouldn't we need some very weak economic news, or something else to frighten the market (causing the 'flight to quality') for that 41.50 gap to be filled? If so, any thoughts on what might inspire this move?

Nice to see some strength in the RUT today,for a change.
Over the past 2 weeks, most of the growth stocks that I watch and trade have been getting crucified, while the indexes continued to show strength. (heavy year end profit taking?)
That has been very disconcerting, causing a huge dent in my day trading.
