Rockwell Issues 2007 Outlook

Rockwell Automation Issues Fiscal 2007 Earnings Prediction of $3.55 to $3.65 Per Share


MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Rockwell Automation Inc. on Thursday said it expects to post a profit from continuing operations before special charges of $3.55 to $3.65 per share.
The provider of industrial automation equipment and services also projected revenue growth at 8 percent to 9 percent, implying annual sales of $6 billion to $6.06 billion.

The guidance excludes all operating income and the gain on sale associated with the company's former Power Systems business, Rockwell said.

Company officials said they expect both stronger revenue growth and higher operating margins in the second half of their fiscal year.

Continued strength in Europe and Latin America is expected to be complemented by an expected recovery in U.S. demand and modest improvement in Asia, the company said.

Rockwell shares added 4 cents to $59.97 in afternoon trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
