Interesting Navy contract award announced today (my bold):

Pedigree Technologies*, Fargo, N.D., is being awarded an $8,438,667 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the research and development of Electro-Optical Radio Frequency and Acoustic Sensors for the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle platforms. Work will be performed in Fargo, N.D., and is expected to be completed in December 2011. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with three offers received via a Broad Agency Announcement. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity (N68335-07-C-0271).
